This Saturday in the ACI marina of Vodice, a large sea and underwater cleaning operation was held. The leader of the green transition of the nautical sector and the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean, ACI d.d., continuously takes care of environmental protection and the preservation of the sea and the undersea, which it confirmed with another ecological initiative. The new action of cleaning the seabed in the ACI marina in Vodice is an indicator of concern for the maritime heritage, but also an example of the intense green energy transition of the company’s operations. Numerous members of the local community, as well as employees of ACI marina Vodice, joined this commendable clean-up operation, who continued the long tradition of caring for the cleanliness of the sea and the environment, which is nurtured year after year at the level of the entire company. By removing waste from the seabed and cleaning the coast, ACI Marina Vodice was relieved of a considerable amount of waste, which represents a significant step in preserving the cleanliness of the sea and coast for future generations.

ACI d.d. for many years, he has been encouraging members of local communities to continue the tradition of environmental protection, so in this environmental campaign, in addition to the employees of ACI Marina Vodice, members of the diving club Šibenik, employees of the MUP of Šibenik-Knin County, the Public Fire Department of the City of Vodice, Voluntary fire brigade of Vodice and retired members of the JVP and MUP. After, as part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of ACI, in the past year, it successfully realized three large cleaning campaigns in the ACI marinas of Palmižana, Šimuni and Supetarska Draga, the ecological campaign carried out in Vodice is only the first in a series that the company will carry out, as a pledge of a better and more sustainable future during this year.
“Regular sea and underwater cleaning actions in ACI marinas throughout the Adriatic, which ACI carries out in cooperation with members of local diving and sports associations and numerous other members of the community, are a pledge of a future in which we will minimize our impact on the environment. It is important to emphasize that the organization of such cleaning actions is of key importance in touristic areas such as Vodice. Through such initiatives, we not only promote the preservation of the environment, but also raise the awareness of the local population and our guests, who come in increasing numbers every year. Therefore, we are particularly happy that this action achieved such a success, highlighting the importance of our joint commitment to protect the sea and maritime heritage,” said Jakov Jadrešin, regional director for ACI marinas Vodice, Jezera, Skradin, Žut and Piškera.
