The fantastic Palma Čargo will represent Croatia at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 with the ever-faithful support of the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean
The entire community of the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean is proud of the latest successes of one of the most outstanding ambassadors of ACI and one of the most promising young domestic athletes, Palma Čargo, who won a place at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. The wonderful woman from Split has now added to the series of great successes placement at the very top of the sports competition, which all passionate athletes dream of, and Croatia will be represented in windsurfing in a select Olympic company. As one of the four Croatian sailors who made it to Paris, she travels to her first Olympic Games with the ever-faithful support of ACI, which proudly and excitedly awaits her new successes.
The best with the best
Palma Čargo is already a well-known name in the world of sailing thanks to her incredible results in European and world competitions, and a series of podiums and trophies clearly testify to her commitment, dedication, talent and outstanding skills on the board. With the support of ACI as a regional nautical leader, Palma Čargo, in its ascent to the top of the sport and new successes, simultaneously symbolizes the synergy between young talents and experienced nautical experts, i.e. a community that also knows what it takes to be the best in its discipline.
“Happiness and pride are really hard to describe. Winning the norm for the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 was my main goal this season and the world championship. This was one of the more difficult competitions, with mostly light winds and lots of unpredictable ups and downs, but every hard training, every challenge I overcame led to this moment. I am proud that I will have the opportunity to represent Croatia at the Olympic Games, and especially because I will be the first Croatian representative in the women’s board. I also want to thank my sponsor ACI, without whose support this success would not have been possible. Along with support focused on the equipment and travel that this sport requires, the experience of ACI as a renowned sailing community, which has been leading the domestic nautical sector for 40 years, both in terms of tourism and sports, is extremely important to me. Because of this, their support has an added value and I believe that together we will achieve results that are a source of mutual pride and satisfaction”, said Palma Čargo.
