The large number of boaters present, who enjoyed local Easter delicacies, is a confirmation of quality preparations during the winter months and accurate forecasts at the world’s largest boating fairs.
In ACI marinas all over the Adriatic this Easter, the traditional Easter breakfast was again prepared, with which the directors and staff of the marinas welcomed numerous sailors from Croatia and abroad, thereby also officially opening the new season. Considering the large number of sailors gathered, this event clearly demonstrated the quality of the preparations for the season, but also the justification of high expectations and optimism for the upcoming season.
Easter weekend full of guests heralded a great upcoming nautical season
Easter and the Easter breakfast in the company of colleagues and guests have been of special significance for the ACI community for many years and represent a tradition that is extremely close to. To the great satisfaction of all colleagues, from Umag to Dubrovnik, a large number of sailors participated in this year’s Easter breakfast, which in this early period is a confirmation of accurate forecasts and expectations for the season. The Company attributes the high attendance already in the pre-season period to the thorough preparation in the winter months, but also to the quality relationships and trust that have been built with sailors from all over the world during 40 years of tradition.
Marina directors explained their high optimism ahead of the new season
“It was a great pleasure for us to celebrate Easter this year with our guests at this traditional gathering, which has a really great significance for us and our community. The large number of boaters who are already staying in ACI marinas is a confirmation of the accuracy of our predictions since the winter months, when we participated in the world’s largest boating fairs in Germany and Austria, countries that also represent some of our most prominent broadcasting markets. Croatia’s entry into the Schengen area and the Eurozone certainly gives us additional wind in our sails, and we firmly believe that this year, the 40th in a row in the history of ACI, will be one to remember,” said the director of ACI Marina Rab and Supetarska Draga, Dubravka Ulemek.
Edo Karuza, regional director of the ACI marinas in the Split region, commented on the indicators so far, which inspire great optimism for the coming season: “ACI marina Split has so far been one of the most frequented marinas, not only in our system, but also in the whole of Croatia, and in ACI marinas in the Split region, during the summer months, more berths were sought. It seems that we can expect the above this year as well, when we celebrate the big 40th birthday of our chain of marinas, which is why we enter the season with a special energy and charge”, he points out.
“Preparations for the season were very intensive, since we had to not only maintain the highest quality standards in our marinas, but also improve all business segments to the maximum wherever there was room for it. ACI marinas in the area of Istria, with their offer and level of comfort, have always reflected the entire tourist identity of this region of Croatia, and after the reconstruction of ACI marina Rovinj, currently the most modern and luxurious marina in the Mediterranean and the holder of the prestigious five anchors, this whole story has been raised to one a whole new level. Therefore, we are optimistic about the nautical season that has just started”, concluded Darko Starčević, regional director of ACI marinas in the Istrian region.
