ACI and the Rijeka Carnival will celebrate their 40th birthday this year, and the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean will further enhance the celebration of Rijeka’s 5th season’s happiest event with its sponsorship.

Participation in the active life of the local community in which it operates is one of the key postulates of ACI. The city of Rijeka is the headquarters of the company, and the largest investment in nautical tourism in the history of the Republic of Croatia will soon be realized in Rijeka – ACI Marina Rijeka. It is therefore not surprising that this year ACI will support the widely recognized Rijeka Carnival, one of the biggest events in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year, just like ACI.

Proud sponsor of the largest Croatian carnival parade

The Rijeka Carnival has long been the holder of the title of TOP Croatian tourism event awarded by the Croatian Tourist Board, and according to the number of participants and guests, it represents the greatest importance for Croatian tourism in the pre-season. Just like ACI, it is a recognizable brand of Rijeka, but also of the whole of Croatia. After three years, this year’s carnival will shine in its full glory in a somewhat modified version due to restrictions. The grand finale of the carnival – the International Carnival Parade with over 10,000 participants and more than 100,000 spectators will take place on February 19. The youngest participants will parade through the Children’s Carnival Parade on Saturday, February 4. Numerous appropriate activities and accompanying programs await the people of Rijeka and their guests during the month of the carnival, and ACI, as a proud sponsor, will be a part of each of them.

Masked runners will be the first to discover the appearance of the future ACI Marina Rijeka

Under the auspices of the Rijeka Carnival, the largest racing event in Rijeka and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, as well as the largest carnival race in Croatia, will take place. It is about the Torpedo CARNIVAL RUN race, the 7th round of the Rijeka WINTER LEAGUE, a traditional sports event that gathers athletes and recreationists of all ages from all over Croatia, but also from the surrounding countries. The race will take place on Sunday, February 12, at Rijeka’s Molo Long, starting at 10 a.m., and is organized by the Rival Triathlon Club and the Torpedo Runners Sports Association in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka. The main sponsor of this 5-kilometer race is ACI, and the race itself will take place on the site of the largest investment in the history of nautical tourism in Croatia, the future ACI Marina Rijeka in Porto Baroš. All those present will have the opportunity to receive all available information about the appearance of the future Rijeka marina, which will completely change the vision of the city of Rijeka and positively affect the quality of life of the local population. With the implementation of this project, Rijeka will be transformed from a transit port into an exclusive tourist destination, which will be presented to citizens as part of the carnival and accompanying events.
