ACI CONFIRMED REGIONAL LEADER STATUS AT THE LARGEST NAUTICAL FAIR

The largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean at the largest global nautical fair presented 40 years of nautical excellence through innovation, sustainability and the future ACI Marina Rijeka as a vision for the future of nautical luxury and technological progress

The national nautical chain, ACI d.d., has traditionally participated in the prestigious Boot Düsseldorf nautical fair. In this way, ACI appropriately marked 40 years of its business and presented visitors with its impressive exhibition space and innovations, as well as projects that confirm its status as a nautical leader. The fair held in Messe Düsseldorf attracted over 1,500 exhibitors from 68 countries. Also, the fair provided ACI with a unique opportunity to present its nautical excellence on a global scale. Focusing on four decades of dedication to the sea, the local community, nautical innovations and excellence in everything it does, ACI has set new standards in achieving high business results and creating a nautical offer intended for domestic and foreign sailors. The fair itself was attended on behalf of the company by numerous employees, representatives of ACI, led by the President of the Management Board Kristijan Pavić and the member of the Management Board for Investments, Marketing and Retail Josip Ostrogović. ACI was joined at the fair by one of its most prominent ambassadors, Ivica Kostelić.

ACI presented innovations at the world’s largest nautical industry fair

During the nearly 10 days of this year’s fair, the national nautical chain presented a novelty that will soon be available to more and more boaters. It is about the business model of ACI Pet – a new service with products intended for pets who spend annual vacations with their owners. Likewise, visitors in Düsseldorf had the opportunity to talk with ACI representatives and learn all about the moorings, services and nautical information that ACI provides. All those interested in ACI’s exhibition space could download the company’s richly illustrated yearbook, ACI No.1, and in the exhibition space it was also possible to find out all the details related to shopping in the ACI SHOP.
“Boot Düsseldorf is always a special event for us, but this year it had a special significance since we once again celebrated the 40th anniversary of our business there. We proudly presented four decades of nautical excellence in the Mediterranean, focusing on innovation, sustainability and the future ACI Marina Rijeka. Participation in the fair gave us the opportunity to connect with the users of our marinas, as well as potential sailors. Also, the presentation of the projects, as well as the discussion about potential future collaborations, certainly had great significance. Participation in this fair has once again confirmed the status of ACI as a leader in the regional nautical sector, as well as our aspirations and continuous efforts to be recognized in other parts of the world”, said Kristijan Pavić, President of the Management Board of ACI d.d.

ACI in the spotlight at Boot Düsseldorf

ACI’s participation at the Dusseldorf fair marked ten extremely successful days in many respects. During that period, ACI presented its expanded nautical offer with special emphasis on the services it provides to its visitors, as well as 22 marinas throughout the Adriatic. As last year, the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean presented the 23rd member of its nautical chain to visitors, the future ACI Marina Rijeka in Porto Baroš. On that occasion, the future Rijeka marina was presented as a historical step forward for the city of Rijeka, but also for the whole of Kvarner. All interested parties were able to get an insight into the appearance of the new marina. At the same time, it was pointed out that thanks to the new ACI marina, the city of Rijeka will get a completely new look, and Rijeka will transform from a transit port into an important nautical and tourist destination.
“The fair held in Messe Düsseldorf always inspires us, and the specialness of this year’s edition is manifested in the presentation of the future ACI Marina Rijeka to numerous visitors and our future guests. We are looking forward to the start of work on the largest nautical project in the history of the Republic of Croatia, worth more than 50 million euros. ACI marina Rijeka will be a nautical leader in all aspects of the entire Mediterranean and a true step forward for the nautical sector. The new marina will also create more than 130 new jobs. It is a project that will improve not only the national nautical infrastructure, but also the life of the local community of the entire Primorje-Gorski Kotar County,” concluded Josip Ostrogović, member of the Board for Investments, Marketing and Retail ACI d.d.

Namely, last year Kostelić won the title of Mediterranean champion in class 40 under the sail of the boat with the symbolic name “ACI 40”. With regard to ACI’s 40th anniversary, Ivica Kostelić expressed his satisfaction with the support he received from the nautical leader and emphasized the impressiveness of the fair as a key place where the entire nautical industry gathers. “Last season was the most successful season for me since I’ve been sailing in the 40 class and I’m very pleased that ACI could support me on that path,” concluded Ivica Kostelić.
