The PROSECCO DOC MAXI ON Cooking Star 2023 regatta was held in Rovinj, a prominent competition for large sailboats, one of the most prestigious in the Mediterranean. ACI marina Rovinj hosted this year’s event, which continuously attracts the most luxurious and modern maxi cruisers on the Adriatic. The Rovinj water area hosted an impressive fleet of sailboats up to 27 meters in length, with professional crews from all over the world. “This regatta is an event of exceptional importance, not only for our city, but also for the entire region, that is, the county. Events that combine sports and gastronomy are what we wish for our city, and we have the opportunity to see one such event this weekend. I am sure that this is just the beginning of a tradition that will continue in the future. It is important to emphasize that this event also expands the tourist offer of the city of Rovinj, for which we can thank the organizers and ACI as the host of this regatta. Such events spread the word about Croatia, Istria and Rovinj beyond our borders and what we can offer when it comes to tourism,” said David Modrušan, Deputy Mayor of the City of Rovinj-Rovigno, on the occasion of the opening of the regatta.

“Istria is known for its rich cultural heritage, beautiful nature and excellent gastronomy. ACI marina Rovinj, as the starting point of this year’s regatta, proudly opened its doors to sailors and guests, welcoming them to our beautiful coast. In addition to the competition of top sailors, we also had the opportunity to embark on unforgettable gastronomic adventures. As the leading nautical company in the region, ACI is, among other things, dedicated to supporting sports events that attract lovers of the sea and the nautical lifestyle from all over the world.
