ACI successfully positions Croatia on the world nautical map, just as Startup Europe succeeds when it comes to startups
“Throughout its history, the sea has served as a means of connecting people. Today, sailing remains a key link for Croatia in the context of business opportunities, nautical tourism and sports activities. The sea reveals our strongest sides and qualities, but it also reveals the areas we need to work on. The challenges that the sea presents us often encourage us to cooperate with others in order to overcome them, and it is togetherness that is the key to success. This philosophy also defines ACI, the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean, which for 40 years has been combining sport, tourism and business in a common denominator – love for the sea. It is the exclusive partnership with the company Nautor Swan, thanks to which we place Croatia alongside the largest nautical countries in the world, that is the greatest proof of this, since we are bringing the world’s nautical top to Croatia, thereby positioning our Lijepa both in sports and in tourism, and contributing to the tourism results of cities in which ultimately hold these regattas”, said the President of the Management Board of ACI d.d. on the occasion of the opening of the event. Kristijan Pavić.
Startup Europe, as well as the commemorative regatta held as part of the event, represent an exceptional economic and sporting event of an international character that positions Croatia, and especially the city of Split, on the global map of the most interesting and unique startup events. ACI d.d. as a national nautical chain, it recognized the quality and significance of such a manifestation, since it itself achieves the same through sailing and the numerous innovations it implements in the domestic nautical sector. ACI contributes to the positioning of Croatia, and especially the city of Split, on the world nautical map thanks to the top ClubSwan regattas, which in the past two years have strengthened the position of the domestic destination in the schedule of the world’s most elite regattas. On this occasion, the entire nautical elite is brought to Split, as well as a clientele that is able and willing to contribute to the socio-economic development of the destination by staying and promoting Split through top-class sailing.
