ONCE AGAIN ACI D.D. PROVES ITS HIGH SAFETY STANDARDS

ACI Marina Vodice gets the Safest Marina of 2026 Award at TouRisk conference

ACI Marina Vodice received the Safest Marina of 2026 Award at the TouRisk 2026 international conference, which was held from 13 to 15 April in Petrčane near Zadar. This is the first national award that does not treat safety as a formality, but sees it as a fundamental pillar of quality and the long-term resilience of the tourism product. The TouRisk conference brought together more than 200 participants from the sectors of tourism, safety and technology, as well as from public institutions, and the presentations and panel discussions stressed the systematic approach to risk management – from crisis planning and preventive procedures to the coordination of all stakeholders in the destination. In a formal ceremony, awards were presented to the most outstanding stakeholders in the tourism sector, with the award for ACI Marina Vodice accepted by Nikola Franičević, Director of the IT and Safety Department, on behalf of the company.

Safety as a standard of excellence in tourism

The main message of the awards is clear – they do not recognise only the absence of incidents, but also the level of readiness, organisation and safety risk management. Alongside ACI Marina Vodice, this year’s award recipients were also Hotel Materra as the safest hotel, Veštar Campsite, part of the Maistra Hospitality Group, as the safest campsite, Medvednica Nature Park as the safest national park/nature park, Špancirfest as the safest event, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County as the safest large destination, Varaždin as the safest urban destination and Jelsa as the safest boutique destination.

This approach confirms that safety is becoming one of the key components in the ability of tourist destinations to attract visitors, particularly in the face of ever-increasing global challenges.

Recognition of a systematic approach to safety in ACI marinas

Nikola Franičević, Director of the IT and Safety Department, received the award on behalf of ACI d.d. “The award given to ACI Marina Vodice at the TouRisk conference is an important affirmation of our systematic and consistent implementation of safety standards in the entire ACI chain. We would particularly like to stress that this award is the result of the dedicated work and collective effort of all our employees, whose daily work and professionalism maintain high standards of safety and service provision in all ACI marinas throughout the Adriatic.

Safety is one of the key foundations of our business and an integral part of the ACI brand identity. That is why we continuously develop all the standards, procedures and best practices applied in the ACI Marina Vodice and implement them in all other marinas within the chain. As the largest marina chain in the Mediterranean, it is our goal to ensure that there is a reliable and safe environment for all our guests, employees and partners in our marinas”, said Nikola Franičević.

Safety – competitive edge in tourism

The TouRisk awards mark a big step forward for Croatian tourism, which increasingly sees risk management and safety standards as key differentiating factors. In this context, the recipients of the awards are setting new standards for the entire sector and further contribute to strengthening resilience and achieving high quality of tourism services.

In addition, such awards confirm the importance of continuous investment in safety and the development of risk management systems, as well as the need for cooperation among all stakeholders in creating a safe and reliable environment for our guests. This approach contributes to strengthening trust and the competitive position of Croatian tourism on the international market in the long run.
