In the unique setting of ACI Marina Dubrovnik, the participants of the workshop painted motifs from the marina, natural beauty, but also the cultural and historical heritage of this area.
A unique painting workshop organized by PopHeart Factory was held in ACI marina Dubrovnik under the leadership of academic painter and owner of this creative factory Ivana Miloglav. On that occasion, the participants of the workshop had the opportunity to paint motifs from the marina, natural beauty, but also the cultural and historical heritage of this area in the specific environment of the Dubrovnik marina. ACI marina Dubrovnik is one of the most frequented and prominent marinas on the Adriatic and a marina that belongs to the very top of the nautical offer in Croatia, as well as in the Mediterranean. Thanks to the Sorkočević summer house, it is a unique example in the world, and its concession area continuously attracts many lovers of nautical, natural beauty and culture.
Sailing the Dubrovnik River as an inspiration for artists’ paintings
The introduction to the workshop was an upstream sailing on the Dubrovnik River, during which the participants enjoyed a panoramic view of the rural buildings there and heard stories from their centuries-old life. At the workshop itself, in the unique historical and cultural nautical environment of the Dubrovnik marina, the participants then painted motifs from it, as well as its surroundings.
“Painting in the garden of the summer house Sorkočević in ACI Marina Komolac is a regular offer of the art studio PopHeart Factory intended for all lovers of painting. It was in this wonderful and inspiring space that we held the last workshop of this season’s regular drawing and painting course for adults at PopHeart Factory. We introduced the participants in the history and cultural significance of the area of Rijeka Dubrovnik and its summer houses, and then enjoyed plein air painting, which in a special way inspires the creative spirit. and enrich it with an activity like this. I invite all creative people, both local and foreign visitors, to join us here in the coming summer months,” said Ivana Miloglav, an academic painter.
ACI marina Dubrovnik is an ideal backdrop for artists, and its offer attracts many sailors and tourists
The state-of-the-art nautical infrastructure, a rich gastronomic offer, a diverse range of services for all users and an exceptional location continuously attract an increasing number of sailors to the Dubrovnik marina. Namely, ACI Marina Dubrovnik combines nautical tradition, exceptional architecture, cultural and historical heritage and natural beauty in one place. As such, the Dubrovnik marina is a meeting place for many lovers of nautical, natural resources, history and art.
“The Dubrovnik marina is one of the most prominent units of our nautical chain, and certainly one of the marinas that belongs to the very top of the nautical offer in the Mediterranean. One of the main assets of the marina is undoubtedly the Sorkočević summer house. It is a Gothic-Renaissance castle located in the area of the marina, thanks to which ACI Marina Dubrovnik is unique not only in Croatia or the region, but also in the whole world. We are proud of this collaboration, and I would like to thank the academic painter Ivana Miloglav for considering our marina as a suitable meeting place and backdrop for this truly special workshop. Ivana added colors to our already colorful marina, and this is exactly what we do every day. An event like this is unique, as it befits a marina like ours, and with it we are moving in the direction of diversification, ACI Marina Dubrovnik, but also the entire offer of ACI”, pointed out Leo Ajduković, director of ACI Marina Dubrovnik.
