ACI MARINA OPATIJA HOST OF CROATIAN WATER POLO ASSOCIATION CALENDAR PHOTO SHOOTING

Photo shooting of the new calendar of the Croatian Water Polo Association for 2025 began in the ACI marina Opatija, and continues in the ACI marinas Split and Dubrovnik.

Photo shooting of the new calendar of the Croatian Water Polo Association for 2025 has begun in ACI marina Opatija. The already traditional filming was attended by water polo players Konstantin Kharkov, Luka Bukić, Franko Lazić and Matias Biljaka, who will grace the pages of this edition. The well-known fashion photographer Šime Eškinja is in charge of the shooting, and in addition to the ACI marina Opatija, the water polo players will shoot the rest of the shots for the calendar in the ACI marinas Split and Dubrovnik. This calendar, in addition to celebrating sporting successes, focuses on the beauty and importance of Croatian nautical destinations, which have become synonymous with the ultimate experience on the Adriatic.

ACI marina is the proud host of calendar shooting with famous water polo players

The first of the backdrops of the new calendar for 2025 is one of the oldest marinas in the northern Adriatic – ACI marina Opatija. “ACI and the Croatian Water Polo Association have been cooperating for many years. The cooperation between the largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean and the most trophy-winning Croatian team sport is a synergy in every sense of the word. We are glad that we hosted the shooting of the HVS calendar, which has grown into a real brand over the years. In this way, we provided support to our long-term partners, water polo players are by the sea on their natural terrain, and we, on the other hand, got the opportunity to promote our marinas”, said Adriana Mišković, ACI’s head of corporate communications.
Along with filming the shots of the new calendar, famous water polo players in the marina shared their experiences from the recent Olympic Games in Paris, as well as what they expect from the upcoming club commitments. In addition to delighting the audience with their successes, including gold at the World Championships in Doha and silver at the European Championships in Zagreb and the Olympic Games in Paris, the importance of ACI’s support was also emphasized, which further strengthens cooperation.

ACI creates unforgettable memories with the Croatian Water Polo Association

“The special feature of the calendar is that it will bring together as many as 18 water polo players – all who participated in national team competitions this year, that is, the European and World Championships and the Olympic Games. The calendar for 2025 will see the light of day at the end of the year and will be available to order through the HVS web shop. I would like to point out that more copies are requested every year, therefore I would advise all those interested to secure their copy of this most popular sports calendar in time. This year, we will therefore introduce one new thing and enable loyal fans to pre-order their copy of the calendar”, said Ivana Janković, head of marketing and public relations of the Croatian Water Polo Association.
The filming itself this year was designed in cooperation with the Croatian Water Polo Association and ACI by local photographer Šime Eškinja, who has been cultivating cooperation with water polo players for many years. Through this multi-year collaboration, Croatian water polo players and a famous photographer have already delivered strong messages to the public. “Despite many years of cooperation, we try to raise the bar higher every year. At the same time, we are focused on various topics, such as our support for women last year, which we also showed through appropriate photographs. Thus, in the calendar, water polo players performed household chores that are traditionally considered feminine. I believe that we have sent a really strong message. This year the theme is completely different. We are shooting in beautiful ACI marinas, and I can’t tell you the rest for now. However, you will have to wait until the calendar comes out”, pointed out Šime Eškinja.
The largest chain of marinas in the Mediterranean and a regional leader in the nautical sector, ACI d.d., continuously emphasizes its commitment to Croatian sports through various initiatives and actions. The focus of the company is mainly manifested through support for water sports and disciplines, as well as investment in the development of younger selections and active encouragement of young people to play sports.
