The 11th PAR International Leadership Conference – PILC 2022, organized by the PAR Business School, was held in Opatija on April 2. It is an event that has been gathering a large number of scientists, students and experts from the economy for many years, providing an incentive for further business and the possibility of expanding the professional network. This year’s edition was held at the Milenij Hotel, and the topic was strategic leadership, which was discussed on the main panel by doc. dr. sc. Ivan Herak, Member of the Management Board for Finance, Corporate Law and Human Resources, ACI d.d.

ACI focused on business diversification and strategic partnerships

ACI d.d. was the main sponsor of the PILC 2022 conference and was represented by a member of the Management Board, doc. dr. sc. Ivan Herak spoke not only about the key determinants of strategic leadership but also about ACI’s development plans. When it comes to strategic planning of company development, ACI d.d. will focus on business diversification, specifically the construction of accommodation units in the most attractive locations in ACI marinas and the strengthening of its own retail network. Another important development anchor of ACI will be strategic partnerships with complementary corporations, such as the Lurssen Group, with which the company ACI – GITONE was established for the needs of building the nautical tourism port of Rijeka, “he said.

The future is in the hands of young leaders who need to be educated and guided

The PILC conference sought answers to some of the key questions in business in a pleasant atmosphere and through quality discussion, and some of the most important topics were the direction in which leaders should develop and how to ensure success in today’s modern conditions, both business and personal. One of the most important conclusions of the main panel and the entire conference was that the current political and economic circumstances pose challenges for creating new strategies and that the Croatian economy will have to turn around, focus on digitalization and new technologies and find new markets. As a professional and social team, we can best achieve this by recognizing, educating and directing young talent, because the future ultimately lies in their hands.
